Here's to new adventures

Wow, can't believe it is already time for a new class to come to Carson-Newman, the first class that will spend all four years at CNU. It will be nice to have consistency since  the school has had three different names since my freshman year in 2011! I can't wait to meet all of you, and learn about the adventures that life has graced you with so far!

As for my adventures....my name is Jessica, Jess, or any nickname for a short person. I am a junior at Carson-Newman, and am majoring in nursing. You will also see me walking around campus in a military uniform because I am enrolled in CNUs ROTC program,  I will be an Army nurse when I graduate. I can't really tell you where I'm from since I moved eleven times growing up because my father was in the Army. Fortunately, my family's last move was to Huntsville, Alabama, and where i was able to spend the majority of my teen years. Growing up in a family of four children, I love to be surrounded by laughter,  joy and the occasional sibling rivalry! While at CNU I have developed a love of being outdoors, and in the past two years have hiked Mt. LeConte, several other trails in the Smokey Mountains and even got to snowshoe in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I love to run, hammock, and enjoy CNUs beautiful campus. I am excited to see what new adventures I will be  blessed with over the next two years!

During my two years at CN I have experienced some of the most interesting opportunities and met some of the most interesting people. I know that you will be welcomed into the CN family just as I was two years ago. I am excited to welcome you guys!
Can't wait to meet all of you in August!
